Uber/lyft accident?

Posted on

You’re a passenger in an uber what do you do if there’s a collision? Take a screenshot of any of the documents or any information about the driver of the car on your uber app. Make sure you have that. Then after the crash, as long as you’re feeling okay, make sure that you take pictures or video of the vehicle you’re in and the other vehicles involved. For any crash, make sure you contact the police and get medical care. That could be an ambulance or go to the E.R. whatever that is to make sure that you’re going to be okay. The next thing you should do is make sure that you don’t give statements to anyone because uber’s going to have an investigator there might be an adjuster assigned from the other insurance there also could be an issue with whether the uber driver had the uber insurance or their own insurance so you could be getting calls from a number of different people, which can make things very stressful and very confusing. If you say the wrong thing to the wrong person, that could hurt your chances of recovery so make sure that you don’t talk to anybody. I would recommend you talk to an attorney first and then you can strategize and figure out what to do next.
