Halloween costume, what happens if I fall off?

Posted on

Here in your ghost costume or maybe your Star Wars Jedi costume or Lord of the Rings type flowing robe in you are getting ready to go out for Halloween, but you have to stop by Quick Trip, or Menards, or Fleet Farm, or Walmart for that matter, and something catches on your robe and you fall and injure yourself, do you have a claim against the store?

Well, you might. Because the stores should keep their property as safe as the nature of the property would reasonably permit. Now, if they have items that are left on the ground that are going to snag your outfit and make you fall, and that item should not have been there because they didn’t follow their own procedure, then yes, you would have a claim against the store because your Obi Wan Kenobi Flowing robe got snagged on a pallet.

For example, if you have an injury because of somebody else’s negligence, you have a claim against that person or that entity. Give us a call. If you have any questions, hopefully you have a safe Halloween and may the force be with you.
