If you decide something now, it might affect whether you can do this or that six months from now. For example, we had a case just the other day where the insurance company offered 5, 000 in medical expenses. Well, our client’s medical expenses were 14, 000. Why were they only offering five? Because they said that that was the reasonable, cost of those medical expenses.
Well, that’s not the law in Wisconsin. Once I sent them our standard letter, because this happens all the time. Once we sent them a standard letter saying, don’t forget about Wisconsin law. You’re trying to pull a fast one. You’re not going to do that to us. They immediately said, you caught us. We are now going to offer the whole 14, 000 in medical expenses, not the 5, 000.
They’re always going to try to make some, offer or do something that’s going to minimize their exposure. And it’s our responsibility to maximize that for you.
