Shorter Days, Higher Risks: Stay Safe on Wisconsin Roads This Fall

The darker it is, the higher the risk. Please be safe out there with driving and watch out for pedestrians. Shorter days mean more crashes. You have to really be extra careful as our days are getting shorter and shorter. It’s tough in Wisconsin here to wake up when it’s dark out, and then get home from work when it’s dark out.

But what that means is shorter days, dawn and dusk. Our getting into our travel time, which again means more dangerous driving. So please be careful when you’re on the road that you’re watching out for pedestrians and for other drivers who may not have full-time day, or full-time, lights on their vehicles, or they may not be wearing the brightest of colors as they’re walking on the streets.

Please stay safe.
