Winter essentials: stay prepared

Posted on

With the weather that we’ve had in the Midwest, and certainly in Wisconsin, there’s a lot of videos of cars going off the road and getting stuck or, you know, multiple crashes, or just because of a crash up ahead, cars sitting and sitting and sitting for hours. Well, if you look online, there’s some really important things you should have in your vehicle, like a, maybe a safety grab bag.

You know, one of the things that we have in our vehicles are candles. You know, having a candle with matches, if you open your window. You have a candle that at least give you some heat, so if you’re stranded, you won’t get too cold, you won’t freeze to death, right? So if you have a supply of water as one of the items, non perishable food, flashlight, extra batteries, first aid kit, hand warmers, a blanket, a cell phone charger, a cell phone battery, extra battery, and then brightly colored clothes, you can signal for help, or like a cloth to signal for help.

You know, things like that are really important. You know, there are links that we’ll put in the comments to send you over for a good list of this. And we have lists that hopefully will help you stay safe now that we’re in the winter season.
