Who’s Responsible When a Falling Wire Causes a Car Fire or Explosion?

Who’s responsible when the hood of your car just suddenly explodes. We’ve had this very similar case where, a wire falls across the road and really gets tangled in a car. And the, in our situation, the car was set on fire. We’ve also had situations where wires have fallen literally right on top of a bicyclist as they’re riding on a bike trail.

Just the worst luck ever because of the timing of it. I mean, how would this ever, ever happen? It’s literally a one in a million shots. This is probably also a one in a million shots, but who’s responsible to keep the, the wire, is it fiber optic cable or whatever it is? In the air just simply away from vehicles.

If there was improper maintenance, was it improper installation? Is there a third party company that was doing work on this at the time? You know, all those different questions. A really important, I don’t know whether the person. But you can’t really see outside whether there’s any other video out there of, people doing work.

That would be a huge help. I’m assuming when the cops came, they would’ve gone and looked around and done some more investigation, but that’s my guess. I agree with the comments that something fell down, a fiber optic or some kind of cable or wire, that caused the explosion to happen and what you have to look for, liability is the company that was either maintaining or installing that cable, because obviously they did something wrong.
