15 years at Groth Law Firm. We are on tip number five here. What I would recommend you do. You get witness information. If you’re involved in a crash or there’s a slip and fall at a restaurant, you know, things like that. If you know that somebody came up to the scene and said, Hey, I saw that. Make sure you get their information.
This happens all the time where good samaritans come, they check on you. They say, I saw it. And then you assume as the victim that the police are gonna get their information. But a lot of the time they don’t. And that witness just walks away. So it’s important. Somebody comes to the scene or you’re at a, you know, a restaurant or store in a fall and people said, hey, I saw what happened.
Make sure you gather their information. You can get a picture of their phone number, you know, from their phone, or just write it down. Whatever you can do to get their information is really important, so we can help you gather that evidence to get a statement from that person later on.
