Tip #3: Speak Carefully After a Crash!

Posted on

15 years of Groth Law Firm. We have a tip here. Tip number three, don’t admit fault after a crash. If you’re involved in a crash, get the general sense of what happened, but I would recommend you don’t say, I’m sorry, it’s my fault because do you truly know, for example, we had a case where the other driver was intoxicated, our driver just being super nice and said, I’m sorry.

After we got the police report, it was obvious that the other driver was intoxicated because they were cited for being intoxicated. So why did our driver apologize and say they’re sorry for the crash when the other driver was intoxicated and caused the crash according to the police report? Don’t confuse the situation.

Unless you know everything of what’s going on, you don’t want to speak too soon. So don’t apologize after a crash. Don’t say you’re sorry because you caused the crash.
