First off, I haven’t heard the word quirky for a while, so this is a great question. But what’s my quirky routine before trial? I have one room in the office that we call the war room. That everything is just strewn out, it’s laid out all over the floor so I can compartmentalize and go through different parts of the case in different ways.
So it’s all there. I’m more of a visual kind of person in that regard. And the music that I play is simply Frank Sinatra. Back in law school, when I had a Walkman, I had the CD Walkman. I’m old in that regard with my wire to my headset and I would go into every exam listening to my Frank Sinatra CD.
Same thing now with trial. I put that on and that’s in the background. It’s just there. I don’t, I don’t sing along to it. I know all the songs, so it’s just nice kind of soothing, reassuring music for me. And then I can concentrate on the facts of the trial. That’s my quirky routine.
