Police Officer Driving 116 MPH: Can Victims File a Claim Against the Municipality?

I feel so sorry for the victims here, for the families of the victims who lost their lives because this police officer was going 116 miles per hour. I don’t understand how you can be going that fast on really any road. I don’t know what the laws are in Michigan. This would be a different situation in Wisconsin.

If you’re driving that fast on any road, I believe that this is a situation that they should go and talk to an attorney and see what, if any help they can get and have a claim against the municipality. It just too sad to really express to the victims for what they’ve lost. It’s just a terrible situation.

If you want to ask, is it legal or illegal, I’m not quite sure about the laws in Michigan. It just doesn’t seem right to me. It seems like this would be a claim or should be a claim at the very least, against the municipality for allowing police officers to drive that fast on the road.
