Somebody asked about the learning curve and what did we have to do when everything shut down during COVID? Luckily, the learning curve wasn’t that bad for us personally, for our firm, because we had already been digital. We had used a case management system that was in the cloud that we could just take our laptops and go home if need be, and work with really very few hiccups.
Our phone system. Is a voice over internet protocol phone. So you simply just have to plug in your headset into your laptop and you can make phone calls like you’re in the office. That was pretty helpful. The biggest problem we had was really from insurance companies where. We didn’t have the ability to get documents signed from our clients.
You couldn’t have them come to the office. So, working against insurance companies to say, will you accept a digital copy? Because not all insurance companies or other parties were really ramped up to that point at that point, we were always trying to be a technology driven law firm. And because of that, I think we were able to pivot and not have as drastic as a learning curve during the pandemic.
