Well, check this out. A famous YouTuber and streamer crashed his 200, 000 McLaren while on livestream. Jack Doherty was seen looking at his phone before agile planning it into a local highway. Well, hopefully Jack Doherty has a lot of views that he can make enough money to actually pay back what he owes on this McLaren.
Gosh, crashing a 200, 000 dollar vehicle. And then if you look at the video, he’s more concerned about his camera and getting it on video than he’s concerned about the human, his passenger. This is a tough one. I mean, this is the obvious case that the passenger has a claim against the driver for the driver’s negligence.
And man, is this driver negligent? It’s clear that Jack Doherty was driving negligently. When you have your camera or your phone, your camera right there in front of you and you’re on it while you’re trying to drive and veer off the road, it doesn’t matter that it’s only a one vehicle crash. A one vehicle crash, that driver is negligent and any passenger in that vehicle can have a claim, has a claim against the negligent driver and that’s Jack Doherty.
Boy, if you’re in this kind of situation, give us a call or click here. We deal with this all the time with single vehicle crashes where the driver is doing something negligent and the passengers have claims against that driver.
