Here’s our answer to our legal trivia. The legal trivia was, what do you think causes personal injuries? Fall related personal injuries in Wisconsin, wet leaves, faulty railings, poor lighting, or kinda all the above. Well, it’s a pretty easy guess. It’s all of the above, especially now that we’re heading into fall here in Wisconsin.
And it’s not meant to be a pun, but a fall in Wisconsin, all these leaves that are falling from the trees, it was raining the other day. You have wet leaves that is as slippery as it gets. So those cause a lot of injuries. We have a lot of people who call about that. Railings. All the time. We have people who are calling because railings failed.
It could be wood that’s rotted most of the time it is that rotted wood because of bad upkeep, bad maintenance, and those fail and somebody falls. Poor lighting happens a lot also because bulbs, just fail, or somebody’s carrying something in a stairwell, they knock the light bulb out, or there’s an electrical short or something else happens and there is not proper lighting in a stairwell in an apartment complex.
And you’re walking, you don’t know where the stairs start and stop and you fall. It happens sadly, too often. We get a lot of calls from people who are injured because of that, and then we have a, we have to help them get compensation for their medical bills and their lost wages and their pain and suffering from the owner of the complex or the owner of the handrail, the person who is, or the people who are in charge of maintaining that complex.
If you have any questions about that, hey, give us a call.
