Don’t put your feet up on the dash when you’re driving. We were recently up in the North woods and I literally was eating an ice cream cone, looking at cars, kind of driving down the road. And there was a driver who was driving with his left foot out his window. That’s not safe, everybody. Please don’t do that.
I’m just the common sense safety tips for driving when you’re in Wisconsin or any state for that matter, but certainly when you’re around us here in the great state of Wisconsin seatbelts, number one, limit distractions, you know, make sure that you don’t have, you know, five different, dice on your rear view mirror, for example, or your phone’s not up with a TV show going.
And make sure that you’re sitting properly. Don’t put your feet out the window, for example. Don’t forget, in Wisconsin, if you’re not wearing your seatbelt, You can be on sale for 15%, meaning that if your damages, you know, your medical bills are 1, 000, but you’re not wearing your seatbelt, the at fault Insurance Company can, can come back and say that hey, we’re only going to pay 850, Because you weren’t wearing your seatbelts, you want to maximize your damages, not put your damages on sale.
So make sure you’re wearing your seatbelt, make sure you’re limiting your distractions, and you’re just driving responsibly here in Wisconsin.
