The answer is false. You should not talk to the insurance company before you talk to a lawyer. I can tell you lots of examples where people have said the wrong thing to an insurance company thinking that they said the right thing simply because your memory may not be a hundred percent accurate. That happens all the time.
It’s a scientific fact that what other people say can influence our memories. What do you think adjusters are trained to do? Adjusters are trained to minimize damages and minimize damages by minimizing injuries and minimizing fault or negligence on their insured. So if they’re doing that, why don’t you have somebody advocating for you?
So call your lawyer before you call the insurance company.
