Can a Business Be Liable for Injuries in an Icy Parking Lot?

Here we are with the answer, with our opinion to the question, can a business be held responsible for injuries in their icy parking lot? I think the answer, is pretty clear to me. That’s kind of a joke because icy. Parking lot that you should clear. The answer is B, yes. If they failed to maintain, maintain it or clear it, then they can be held responsible.

You know, businesses have obligations to keep the property as safe as the nature of the property would reasonably permit. And if it sounds like legally it is because that’s what the standard is in Wisconsin, that’s the law. So if you fall, because a parking lot or a business is not maintained properly, or they didn’t clear the parking lot, or if there’s holes, for example, or there’s steps that aren’t maintained properly and you’ll fall through them, or a ceiling collapses on you.

All those different situations regarding premise liability, if you are injured because of somebody’s failure to maintain or, clear a certain area. Then you have the right to get compensated by the person that’s negligent or the entity, the business that’s negligent. So if you answer B, you are right.
