Tom earned his law degree from Marquette University Law School. Before law school, he received a B.S. in Finance from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.

Before joining Groth Law Firm, S.C., Tom focused his practice representing first responders across Wisconsin in matters ranging from discipline and discharge, grievance arbitrations, interest arbitrations, contract negotiations, Duty Disability, criminal defense, and complex litigation, in both the Circuit Courts, Court of Appeals, and police and fire commissions throughout the state.

Since the start of his legal career, Tom has represented hundreds of individuals in disciplinary, employment, and appellate matters. He is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and in multiple state and federal courts, including the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, and Western District of Wisconsin.

Tom’s strong advocacy has been recognized for excellence, including being named among The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 under 40 – Civil Plaintiff in 2024, and 2025. His cases have been covered nationally, including outlets such as CNN.

Outside of the office, Tom enjoys cooking, spending time with his family and pets, and is a self-described “film buff.”
