Athenamarie was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Illinois. She received her bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Eastern Illinois University and her JD from Northern Illinois University College of Law.

Prior to joining Groth Law, Athenamarie worked as a Healthcare Defense Attorney in Chicago, Illinois, concentrating her practice on nursing home abuse, neglect and wrongful death cases. She was one of two attorneys in her firm specifically chosen to lead a Risk Management team that was widely successful in analyzing pre-suit matters.

Athenamarie is passionate about helping her community and those in need. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, volunteering, and spending time with her loved ones, including her two dogs, Frankie & Yianni.
