I’ve watched this video, I don’t know how many times of the guy falling off the water slide as they’re going down what I call the kind of the toilet bowl. Kind of ride, you’re going back and forth and then down through the hole. In this situation, I’ve been in rides just like this. I’ve also represented people who have been injured because of rides just like this.
The big kind of factor that we look at as to whether there’s a claim is whether the person who’s in charge of placing the individuals on this inner tube, place them properly. You know, do you have three, four people who are the same weight at the same time? Area, you know, for example, if you have two 400 pound people in one 200 pound person, the 400 pound people should be across from each other and the 200 pound person should be next to them.
You shouldn’t have a 400 pound person in a 200 pound person across from them and the other 400 pound person to the right or to the left or right next to the 400 pound person. If that makes sense, that’s what you don’t want. You want to make sure that everybody’s kind of equal and you’re spaced out directly across according to weight.
I think in this regard, it looks like they’re, they’re placed properly. It honestly looks like the guy just lets go. And I just stopped it here where he just flies backwards. I don’t think it’s negligence. You know, there are experts that certainly you could contact to see if this is. I also, I hope he’s not injured.
But these kind of cases we see pretty frequently, you know, we have here in Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Dells, which is what some claim is the world’s largest water park. It’s a place that has a lot of rides that are similar to this and we’ve had a lot of people who have called us after being injured because they weren’t placed properly.
