Brendan earned his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School. Before law school, he received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Vermont, where he competed on the varsity men’s tennis team and earned academic honors for multiple years.

Before joining Groth Law Firm, S.C., Brendan built his practice representing primarily responders across Wisconsin in matters ranging from discipline and discharge to complex appellate litigation, including advocacy before the Wisconsin Supreme Court, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and police and fire commissions throughout the state.

Since the start of his legal career, Brendan has represented hundreds of individuals in disciplinary, employment, and appellate matters. He is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and in multiple state and federal courts, including the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, Western District of Wisconsin, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Brendan’s cases and advocacy have been covered nationally by outlets including CNN, Forbes, The New York Times, The Today Show, and ESPN. He has secured important victories at every level—including overturning high-profile terminations—and has authored legislative bills strengthening rights, protections, and benefits for his clients and the community. He has also been recognized for excellence, including being named among The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 and selected as one of the Top 25 Attorneys of Wisconsin for 2024 by Attorney Intel.

Outside of the office, Brendan enjoys time with his family, playing pickleball, attending sporting events, and pretending he’s a chef/pitmaster.
