School Bus Ran a Red Light? Who’s Liable After a Crash | Groth Law

As it ran a red light, the impact of the school bus, which contained nobody except the driver by the way, was hard enough to spin his Durango completely around.

I think the car is not responsible in this situation. The bus has to have run the red light. I don’t see any other way that this could have happened because remember when lights change, there’s usually a second or two rest time when all the lights are red.

So, if our client had green, then yellow, that bus light had to have been red. So I put this on the bus? A hundred percent. And then you gotta look at why the heck would the bus driver run this red light? Were they distracted? Were they on their phone? You know what happened? And that’s a bigger situation that hopefully is investigated.

So this person’s taken off the road.

A school bus blowing a red light isn’t a ‘close call’. It’s a disaster waiting to happen. One second of negligence can change a family forever. #GrothGetsIt #WisconsinLaw #GrothLawFirm #LegalTok
